St. Martin’s Episcopal Church
is a passionate, dynamic community in motion in the
heart of Radnor. We are gathered around the idea that
the Kingdom of God is here, now, and available by
being a loving contribution to this world. We believe
in the goodness and worth of every human being, indeed
all of the creatures of God, and seek to embody that
regard and respect in all of our relationships. We
are an historic church, dating from the laying of
the cornerstone of the present church in 1880. For
more than 130 years, St. Martin’s has been holding
worship services and serving Radnor and the surrounding
communities. Today, rich in its treasured history
and always coming to new life amid current aspirations,
we are a community bursting with life and the invitation
to share this with all fellow seekers.
Our
life together is centered in our worship,
offering up our lives, needs and commitments to God
and the world, guided by the rich tradition of the
Episcopal Church. We are a church of Word and Sacrament.
We are nourished by scripture through how we bring
our lives to it, as well as how we enact it each day.
Our primary sacraments, Baptism and Eucharist, are
touchstones for how God is acting through us in the
world, and offer a chance to gather and love God and
each other. Each Sunday, we offer both traditional
(8:00 a.m.) and more contemporary worship (10:30)
drawing on a wide variety of music, language and liturgical
resources.
We
are a congregation of the Episcopal
Church in the Diocese of Pennsylvania. We extend the
welcome and love of God to all who enter our doors,
and our communion is open to all who hunger for God.
We offer a wide variety of opportunities for people
to be engaged in ministries of outreach and service,
formation and fellowship. Our Children’s and
Youth Program and Sunday School are held central to
who we are and wish to become in relation to the Kingdom
of God that is within and surrounds us. Families of
every kind are all welcome here. We're grateful you
have shown interest in St. Martin’s, and we
look forward to visiting with and learning more about
you personally. If you would like to know more about
us, please give our priest Chris, a member of the
congregation, or our office a call!
